ESL were part of the joint venture awarded the geotechnical monitoring consultancy contracts for both the northern and southern parts of the Express Rail contract.
This consultancy called for independent geotechnical monitoring, analysis and reporting to provide a service independent of the main contractors and client.
Survey work involved monitoring of all geotechnical instruments installed by the main contractor(s) at approximately 25% of the frequencies applied to the main contract. This work involved extensive coordination and interfacing with each contractor (totalling 10 major contracts) and the need to ensure that our work was carried out to the highest standards of accuracy.
ESL were also the Survey provider on Independent Monitoring Consultancy 716 (West Island Line) and are currently working on the NSL IMC.
