Laser Scanning is now used for a wide variety of purposes from updating building plans, to recording as-constructed or installed layouts. It is the most common data source for as-constructed BIM Models and now being adopted for “Point in time” reality capture where a scan is taken in order to mitigate future disagreements between parties.

A wide variety of scanners are now available from “survey grade” long range to lower level imaging scanners adopting either phase based or time of flight measurement.

ESL maintain both Leica and Faro scanners in our inventory and match the best one to the job in hand.
